In present social condition specially in Arabian  society parents always prefer  the easy and non – dangerous option for young girls. Same happened with Ingy abdelkarim. Her father was not ready to send her at ship as he knew about the struggling life of ship. But she was not the one to give up. She applied for Arab Academy Of science And  technology and got herself admitted without informing her father.
Abdelkarim told the beginning days at ship was not easy for her. People were doubting at her ability. But she proved them wrong with her hard work  proficiency and professional attitude. She is also grateful to her teachers of university who supported her a lot. In university environment was not much friendly for a lady to continue her study surrounding by all men. And few peoples were not taking her seriously  even not acknowledging her presence. But this determined engineer made it possible and set an example for thousand ladies who are still wasting their time in thinking and fearing.
Abdelkarim wished to complete her masters and return back to this field and want to contribute in development. The most impressive and inspiring thing is that her father who opposed at her decision earlier is eagerly lets people know that his daughter is the first female marine engineer of his country.
