The story of the first lady captain of America!

Celebrity cruises made history by promoting ‘Kate McCue’ as first ever lady captain of their fleet. She is the first female American to be promoted as captain of cruise ship.

 ‘Kate McCue’ wished to be a captain of cruise ship at the age of 12. She went for a cruise tour at the age of 12 and she was amazed at the cruise ship arrangements and exposed her wish to her father that she want to be captain of a cruise ship. On that day who knew one day this little girl is going to make history becoming the first American lady captain.

She graduated from California maritime academy. She is also having third mate unlimited coast guard license that means she can sail any ship ranges from tug boat to vlcc tanker. She started sailing as a second mate at ROYAL CARIBBEAN in 2003.Then gradually with her great working competency she achieved the commanding post at cruise ship.

She told as a captain she is in charge of ship’s safety, security. She is also taking care of various regulation  implementation of her ship. She is also responsible if her ship complying with the local and international rules and regulation.  She told it’s a challenge for her to host 2000 guest and also maintain 1000 crew at a time. Her ship is sailing new jersey-Bermuda-Canada-New England. As Canada new England is totally new to her she is really excited for this.

She is also a reality tv junky when she get home she have to watch the Bachelorette and housewives.She told as there is various kind of restaurant at ship there is nothing she can miss regarding food. Actually she is in love with sea and her profession so she is enjoying her job.

‘Kate McCue’ became the inspiration for a thousand lady. She has proved that if anyone has devotion hardworking mentality either male or female doesn’t matter will be succeeded.
